Two post in one

Well I am finally back at work...I have actually been back for a couple of weeks. Before Reece was born I had pretty much decided to stay at home, however after 16 weeks at home I quickly decided that maybe that wouldnt be the best decision for me. I called up my office and told them I needed to get out of the house, but I was still not wanting to be away from the boys that much. So they worked with me and I came back a couple of days a week. It has been so nice!!! I love being at home every second that I am there, but it's also nice to get out and have my own time...even if it is at work. I love being in clothes rather than pj's at 2 and 3 every afternoon and eating lunch when I want and take a whole hour to do so! It's nice...but I miss my babies even those two days I am at work. They are addicting!!! My sweet Breckin's voice and little Reecey's smile make my day.

We had a great 4th of July...my parents came down for the weekend and we had a great time. We had a cookout on Friday at our place and went to my sister's on the 4th and then that evening went to Red White and Boom in McKinney. It was so much fun and kids had a great time. Breckin loved the fireworks, however miss Ella was not too sure...she was ready to go after the first two fired off. She kept saying "all done, byebye, go home" over and over. It was cute. We had a awesome time and look forward to doing it all again next year. There was only one thing missing...Dane. He had to work so that was a bummer but he still got to see some fireworks. I just wish it could have been with us. We missed him.
That's all I have for now...here are a few pics of our weekend. BTW: Breckin got bit by something and it caused an infection around his eye if you are wondering why his eye looks funny! It looks pretty good in these pics compared to Sunday.

Little Mister's new look

Yes we finally did it! We cut off that beautiful hair! He trasformed from a toddler to a little boy in a matter of minutes. I actually went in for a little more than a trim but not with the intentions of cutting it all off. As she starting cutting I got a little more daring and kept having her do more until we ended up with this spikey look. He loves it and I am sure if has to feel so much better especially with the way it's really starting to heat up around here. It has taken us some getting used to for sure. I still don't think his daddy is used to it yet. Daddy loves it don't get me wrong, however he is having a hard time with the hair making Breckin look so much older. I honestly love it...I did not ever take the time to really take care for his long hair and b/c it was so fine it was always tangled and hard to manage. This is the main reason I went for it and I am so glad we did. Over all we are all happy with it.

I love my boys...

I guess I am back? Not really sure...Ha! Well for starters my baby is now 8 weeks old!! I can not believe that it has already been two months. Time flies by so fast. Now I didn't forget that from the first time around I just am reminded exactly how fast now. We have been pretty busy. We went to Amarillo for Easter and for Lindsay's wedding shower. While we were there Reece got sick and had to be put in the hospital. It was sure a bummer! We were there for 2 nights and 3 days and it was not fun! The worst part was seriously the IV that they had to put in his head b/c he was too dehydrated to get them in his hands or feet. I know it looked worse than it probably was but it's still not something a mother likes to see. He is doing much better now so for that we are grateful. The Lord really used this situation to his and our advantage so we are blessed for that. He put alot into perspective for the both of us through this.
I am extremely busy these days and not because I necessarily have a calendar full of plans it's just taking care of two boys is alot of work. Dane is now back at work so I am seeing what it's like to do a full day of housework along with taking care of a 3 year old and a 8 week old that pretty much cries all the time. He is really spoiled and wants to be held so usually if he is awake and is not being held he is crying. It can be hard to handle from time to time when you are really trying to do something. It's a little new to me because Breckin was a very content baby just to sit on the sofa in his boppy so it challenges me a little more but he is a better baby in other areas than Breckin was not so it all evens out. He is sleeping all night so hallelujah to that! I am so afraid to write that though....he has been sleeping all night since he was 6 1/2 weeks and the day I wrote it in his baby book that night he did not so I was afraid to jinx it!
All in all we are doing great and loving our boys. I am not letting a day go by without soaking him up. I missed out on so much of Breckin as a newborn because I struggled a little bit with the baby blues so this time I have made a point to not let the sun go down without sitting and just soaking up what he is and does each day. He has definitely made our family feel so complete. Now don't get me wrong I still think I would like a third, however IF that ever happens it will be a long time from now. So for now we are complete!
Here are a few updated pictures of the boys... Until next time....

This is my favorite!!!

A Day with Thomas

Here are a few pictures of Breckin and Mommy's day with Thomas. As part of Breckin's b-day we got tickets to go see Thomas and actually ride on him too! Breckin's friend Dylan went with us and they had a blast.

We have been trying to come up with things that we can do with Breckin separate from the norm. He is still doing great with his baby brother and still not showing any signs of jealousy but we just want him to know that he is still just as important to us as he was before Reece.
We are having a blast...Dane is still on "maternity" leave..how awesome is that!?! I am so lucky that he is able to take this kind of time off...there are not many perks in his career for me but this is one of them. I don't know what I am going to do when he goes back to work.

Ok so two post in one b/c I also have some pics of Breckin and Mommy's bake day...we made Easter cookies or should I say Breckin made them...all I did was ice them. He did a great job and we had a ton of fun! Doing stuff like this is good for me b/c it's teaching me how to chill out and let the kids have fun and then clean up later... Anyone that knows me knows my struggle with constant perfection however it's something I am working on (or should I say something the Lord is dealing with in me right now) and doing these kinds of things when flour is going all over floor, in our hair, on our clothes and everywhere else, is helping and showing me that having everything perfect is not important and it's shown me how much time and energy it takes and what kind of time it takes away from my kids. Plus it was kind of fun to "not" care for a few hours and just have fun.

Breck sure enjoyed it..

My boys

Here are a few new pictures...It's very hard to get a picture of Reece with his eyes open b/c either he is sleeping all the time or my camera flash makes him close his eyes which was the case with the first picture of him and Breckin...he was wide awake until my flash went off..it's quite annoying b/c he is even more adorable with his eyes open :)
We are staying very busy...Breckin keeps us more busy than Reece right now b/c all he does is eat and sleep basically. Breckin on the other hand is constantly on the go wanting to do things all the time which is hard to do when you are a little sleep deprived. The weather is not helping us at all right now...we can not go outside b/c of the rain so we are stuck inside and it stinks!
Breckin, me and Reece have all gotten sick...Breckin started with the croup, then I got the cold form of it and so did Reece...I know how I feel so I can only imagine how a 2 week old must feel...it breaks my heart b/c he is so stopped up and I can do nothing about it...they don't even have a nose sucker small enough to fit in his nose... Hopefully in a few more days everyone will be fully recovered and the weather will get better. Well better run...it's time for everyone to eat.

He's here!!!

I am proud to announce the arrival of our new precious baby boy! I can not believe he is already here! We are all doing great! Breckin is a great big brother...he is helping out so much and loves to look at his baby broder. We are all so much in love with him it's crazy! I never knew how complete we would feel until Reece got here. He is just the perfect addition to our family. He is doing awesome! He only cries when hungry or needing a diaper change...other than that he is so content. The delivery was very quick so we were very thankful for that. We got the hospital at 10:00 pm and he was born 2 hours later at 12:14 on March 9th. Here are a few pictures of our handsome boy. Enjoy!
